How we used influencer coverage to skyrocket reach, engagement, and footfall.

Using an influencer to engage with race and concert-goers through live coverage resulted in an increase of 158% impressions, 117% engagement,12.94% following and a 39% increase in concert attendance compared to 2021.

With Sandra Sahi as the cornerstone of our influencer coverage strategy, we were able to make significant progress in broadening our reach, increasing interaction, and attracting a wider audience. Sandra played a crucial role as the social media host for Yasalam throughout the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

By employing Sandra, a bilingual influencer with more than 800k followers, we saw a staggering 158% rise in impressions, a startling 117% increase in engagement, a noticeable 12.94% gain in followers, and a surprising 39% increase in concert attendance. In addition to effectively establishing Yasalam After-Race Concerts as an annual must-attend event, this strategic approach also increased our reach, engagement, and foot traffic to previously unheard-of levels.

How we grew and entertained our audience through community-first, trending content and engagement.

We grew EA’s following from 1,045 in 2020 to 42k by 2022 (3,900%), surpassing 94 million impressions and 10 million engagements, achieving an average of 10k organic reel views, ranking 28 keywords, and increasing search traffic by 21.8% in one quarter.

We used community-first content: trending reels, user-generated content, live coverage, social media competitions, and an always-on and proactive community management approach to give users what they were looking for and organically grow Etihad Arena’s community on social media, making Etihad Arena the go-to venue for event organisers in the UAE.

Through utilising the latest reel features, we were able to churn out trending content weekly, achieving an average of 10k organic views per reel.
